4116 and 4126 Spring-Loaded Probes These probes are designed for use in thermowells or protection tubes. The 4116 is a probe with a connection head and the necessary 304 stainless steel nipples and unions. The 4126 is a replacement probe with a spring-load only. Both probe styles use an adjustable stainless steel 'gripper' style spring which maintains its position on the probe by friction and can be moved on the probe to compensate for make-up tolerances. Nickel 600 sheath and fiberglass insulated leads, potted in ceramic sealant at rear. Lead junction and leads are rated to 360°C, probe to 650°C. Hermetically sealed for moisture protection A serial number- the date code plus additional digits- is etched into the probe body. 1, 3, or 6 inch installed length 304 stainless steel pipe nipples. Required for the 4116. #6 spade lugs for PT or TH sensors. #8 compensated spade lugs for TC sensor. 304 stainless steel 1/2NPT female union and close nipple. 4116 only- optional . Etched to customer specification. Specify SST and data. Special internal construction to improve resistance to vibration and shock. Removal of one lead for use with three wire input devices.
